See the Benefits of LASIK Eye Surgery
Join more than 20,000 of our patients who love the results of their LASIK eye surgery and who are enjoying invigorated lifestyles without having to deal with the hassles of glasses or contacts. Lasik corrects your vision using an advanced cool-beam iFS and Allegretto Lasers, gently reshaping the cornea to give you the vision you’ve always wanted. Unlike PRK eye surgery, LASIK eye surgery works by applying the laser underneath a tiny corneal flap, for faster recovery, minimal pain and less risk of complications.
The procedure takes less than a minute. In fact, you will usually be able to return to work and drive the very next day. Our patients often say their vision after LASIK eye surgery is better than with glasses or contacts, and they save hundreds or sometimes thousands of dollars on glasses and contacts over the years.
Most of our patients say that their LASIK easily paid for itself through the savings on contact lenses and glasses. Your savings may be just as big. See for yourself by using our LASIK Savings Calculator.

Are You a Candidate for LASIK Eye Surgery?
While LASIK eye surgery is not for everyone, it works exceptionally well for patients 18 years and older with stable prescriptions. It can treat all prescriptions—near or farsightedness and astigmatism—as long as it is not extreme. It’s simple to find out if you’re a candidate for LASIK eye surgery. Schedule your consultation today. When you visit our office, just ask any of our three doctors and six of our other team members who have had refractive eye surgery about their experiences.
The LASIK Eye Surgery Process
At your first LASIK consultation in Orlando, we will examine your eyes to assess your visual needs, vision history and prescription to develop a personalized vision correction plan or procedure that best fits your situation. You will come to our office on the day of surgery because LASIK eye surgery is performed at the LaserVue office. In less than 15 minutes, Dr. Magruder will perform the procedure. You will experience a few hours of vision blurriness, before you see the results of surgery.
Your vision may be blurry or fuzzy as your eyes heal, but only for a short time. Usually with LASIK eye surgery, there is little recovery time and most people drive themselves to our office the following day. See a step-by-step guide of what to expect before, during and after your procedure.
The Risks of LASIK Eye Surgery
As one of the most commonly performed refractive procedures, significant LASIK eye surgery risks and complications are rare, although complications may arise. For example, some patients report dry eyes. This is typically treated with eye drops and is usually temporary. At LaserVue, we run tests prior to surgery to check for dry eyes to help reduce this condition. As with any surgery, there is a small risk of infection and a loss of vision is possible, although this is very rare. Rest assured, LaserVue uses the most advanced technology, and Dr. Magruder has performed more than 20,000 procedures. You can feel confident that you’re in great hands at LaserVue.
